BBQ Chicken for Champions

Quick, tasty, and kid-approved! These chicken strips with BBQ sauce and steamed veggies are perfect for busy weeknights. Packed with flavor and nutrition, they’re easy to make and sure to please. Get ready for a meal your child will love!
Ingredients:
Chicken Strips
- ½ chicken breast
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
BBQ Sipping Sauce:
- 1 cup (240 g) organic ketchup
- 1 tablespoon (6 g) lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (GFCF)
- 1 tablespoon (20 g) honey
- Dash of black pepper
Steamed Vegetables:
- 1 broccoli stalk (or frozen single-serving package)
Instructions:
1.Prepare the chicken strips: season the chicken breast with salt and pepper, then heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Pan-fry the chicken breast for six minutes on each side until it is cooked through, and finally, cut the chicken into strips.
2.Make the BBQ Sipping Sauce:combine organic ketchup, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and a dash of black pepper in a blender or bowl, then blend or mix until smooth.
3.Steam the vegetables: cook the broccoli florets for 7 minutes until they are tender, then rinse them with cold water to stop the cooking process and maintain their bright green color.
4.Serve the chicken strips with ¼ cup (65 grams) of BBQ Sipping Sauce alongside the steamed vegetables.
